Milk is a nutritive beverage obtained from various animals and consumed by humans. Most milk is obtained from cows grazing that are milked using milking machine (storage). After a few hours of being collected, milk is delivered to the Dairy by a daily milk tanker. At the Dairy, the milk in the truck is weighed and is pumped into refrigerated tanks in the plant through flexible stainless steel or plastic hoses. The milk is piped into a pasteurizer to kill any bacteria. There are several methods used to pasteurize milk. In addition to being consumed as a beverage milk is also used to make cheese, cream, butter, and a variety of other products. Finally they are packaged in plastics or glassed and thenon to supermarkets adn shops, where they are kept in refrigerated display cases.

Very good Mido. You have used the grammar (passive) very well to describe the process of milk production. Your writing is clear and well structured. Well done this is a really good piece of writing.

A written letter is put into a sealed envenlope that is posted into a mailbox. Then it is sent to the post office as well as delievered by a postman to the recepient. Finally, the read letter is not only thrown away which is but also recycled, is reformed and resold.

Make some notes under the headings above about a book or film that you have read or seen recently. Then write a review in about 200 words.

Dear Jen

How was your weekend? I watched the film "Control".
As you know, I like watching films better than reading books. ^^

My favorite film is OUT OF AFRICA. It is based on the memoirs of Danish writer Karen Blixen (pen name, Isak Dinesen) that is set in a coffee plantation in Kenya. It explains how this brave woman overcomes the sterotype of a dainty, colonial British lady by running the coffee farm while her husband Bror Blixen (Brandauer) leads a life of hunting and having an affair. Meryl Streep is great as Karen Blixen. She manages to maintain the realistic Danish accent through the whole film. Robert Redford is great as Denys Finch-Hatton, the Etonian hunter who keeps her companion in her loneliest and hardest moments. But the real attraction of the film is the outstanding photography of the African landscape together with the sweeping John Barry soundtrack that is probably the most beautiful movie soundtrack of the 1980s. OUT OF AFRICA will be regarded as Sydney Pollack's best film a Classic of our times. This film won seven Academy Awards including Best Directing. Unfortunately, he died at his home in May, 2008.

I like the scene when Denys went on a flight with Karen on the sky of Africa where there were overspread with a flock of flamingoes. If you have a chance to rent to this film, you would be like this film.

Well, see you soon. ^^

Sincerely MIDO
